Property & Facilities Coordinator

Location: Scone Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)

About the role

Help shape the future of some of the Upper Hunter's most important community assets. As the Property & Facilities Coordinator, you'll lead the operational management, maintenance and continuous improvement of Council's diverse property portfolio, including the Scone Regional Livestock Selling Centre, White Park Equine Facility and Scone Memorial Airport. You will also manage Council-owned properties and Crown Land portfolios. You'll ensure these facilities remain safe, compliant and financially sustainable while delivering quality experiences for the community, businesses and visitors.

You'll lead a small team, coordinate contractors, oversee maintenance and capital works, support major events, build strong stakeholder relationships and help deliver continuous improvements across Council's facilities.

What we need from you

  • Demonstrated experience in property, facilities or operations management, including coordinating day-to-day operations, maintenance programs, contractors and service delivery.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams, manage competing priorities and foster positive workplace culture.
  • Strong knowledge of asset maintenance, Work Health and Safety, biosecurity and legislative compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with contractors, tenants, community groups, event organisers and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills, with experience preparing reports and managing budgets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and asset or facility management systems.
  • Current unrestricted Driver Licence and White Card (General Construction Induction).

Highly regarded

  • Qualifications in property, asset or event management (or a related discipline).
  • Knowledge of Local Government property management, Crown Land legislation and leasing processes.
  • Experience within livestock, equine or rural operations.
  • Understanding of saleyard operations, aviation facilities or Work Health and Safety management.
