The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
The Quality and Innovation Unit provides leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of services, programs and models of care for improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Well-being. The Unit oversees key functions of healthcare quality and safety, planning, public health, data and health information management, innovation in service design and development, digital innovation, and clinical excellence.
About the Role
As the Service Development Manager, you will provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team responsible for the planning, design, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of health services, programs and models of care across the IUIH Network.
Working closely with community, business units and member services, you will drive innovative approaches to service delivery that strengthen health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You will lead complex projects and service improvement initiatives, build organisational capability in service development and project management, and ensure that services remain responsive to community needs, evidence-informed and aligned with IUIH strategic priorities.

Day-to-Day Duties
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to the Service Development Team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative and culturally safe work environment.
- Building team capability through coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities that strengthen expertise in service planning, project management, quality improvement and innovation.
- Leading the design, development, implementation and evaluation of health services, programs and models of care across the IUIH Network.
- Working in partnership with communities, member services, clinicians and key stakeholders to identify emerging needs and opportunities for service innovation and improvement.
- Managing a portfolio of strategic projects and service development initiatives, ensuring effective planning, resource allocation, risk management and delivery of outcomes.
- Translating evidence, data, community feedback and best practice into practical service improvements and innovative models of care.
- Monitoring project outcomes, reporting on progress and ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into future initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and organisational effectiveness through innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring team priorities, workloads and resources are aligned to organisational objectives and community needs.

Desirable
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities
