About the Role
As Development Manager, you'll be a key player in overseeing the delivery of our mixed-use projects, including purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and build-to-rent (BTR) - helping ensure our planning and acquisition outcomes align with our strategic and sustainability targets, and that every project we deliver is a best-in-class living environment.
You'll manage the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects, working across development, design, construction and ESG, while representing TLC with authorities, joint venture partners and external consultants.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Managing the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects, including feasibilities, forecasting and development applications
- Providing technical and commercial oversight across development, design, procurement and construction workstreams
- Representing TLC with planning authorities, joint venture partners and external consultants
- Coordinating architects, engineers and specialist consultants to keep projects aligned to budget, schedule and guidelines
- Leading contract negotiations and tender processes, working closely with the Construction team to select top-tier partners
- Preparing project reports, tracking budgets and costs, and keeping stakeholders and the management board informed
What You'll Bring
- 5-8+ years' experience in Property, Architecture, Construction or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience contributing to and managing large-scale residential development projects in NSW
- Significant experience in property development or construction in Australia
- Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Deep understanding of the property development lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and operations
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and financial reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams
