Facilities & Asset Manager – Lyell McEwin Hospital

Ventia is seeking a Facilities & Asset Manager based on site to support the delivery of facilities management services at Lyell McEwin Hospital, one of South Australia's largest and busiest healthcare facilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a significant healthcare asset, working closely with stakeholders, contractors and operational teams to ensure critical infrastructure, maintenance programs and improvement projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring hospital facilities remain safe, compliant and operational while driving maintenance programs, asset lifecycle initiatives and minor capital works projects. This role will suit someone with extensive experience managing projects in operational environments, ideally within healthcare, government, property, infrastructure or facilities management sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance programs across the hospital campus.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital stakeholders, contractors and internal Ventia teams.
  • Monitor asset performance and contribute to lifecycle planning and asset improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, budgets and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Proactive and commercially minded professional who can successfully balance operational facilities management with project delivery responsibilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, contractors and competing deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, risk management and safety requirements.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Formal Project Management qualifications or demonstrated project delivery expertise.
  • Building services experience an advantage.
  • Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
