About the Role
We are looking for an excellent BDM to help us build and maintain great relationships with brokers in Western Australia. This is a key role within Athena.
Sales Performance
- Responsible for application results across our aggregator partners
Broker Relationships
- Be the "go to person" for your brokers
- Build and maintain outstanding broker relationships
- Proactively manage a pipeline of broker scenarios and submitted applications, constantly striving for the ultimate broker and customer experience
- Seek out new broker relationships, nurture these relationships until they become vocal advocates for Athena, true raving fans
- You are a great presenter and a "coach"
Onboarding & Engagement
- Run interactive broker onboarding sessions to provide in depth knowledge of Athena, who we are, what we do, the customers that are right for Athena, our product and process
- Be very engaging over phone, SMS, email and Zoom
- Majority of the time will be on the road for broker face-to-face visits, PD days, broker events etc.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with aggregators including partnership managers and state leaders
Internal Contribution
- Contribute to internal discussions about opportunities and ways to improve
- Work with Cyber, Tech, Risk, and other functions to get to effective policy outcomes
- Provide feedback and ideas to help ensure that Athena platforms are the best in the market
Who We're Looking For
You are based in Perth and have the following attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar BDM role managing relationships with broker networks and individual brokers
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with brokers, credit teams and clients
- Great focus on sales and conversion
- Exceptional communication skills – clear, engaging, and professional
- Self motivated
- Focused on continuous development
- Critical thinker and confident in decision making
