About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to continuously develop and achieve our ambitious growth agenda by creating compelling customer solutions and winning proposals.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Chief Commercial Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of Svitzer's growth strategy and commercial priorities
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Represent Svitzer professionally in customer interactions, industry forums and business development activities
  • Lead the end-to-end pursuit of growth opportunities, coordinating activities from qualification through to commercial close and contract award
  • Monitor industry, customer and market developments to identify opportunities, risks and changing customer requirements
  • Develop commercial proposals, tenders and business development submissions
  • Assist in the development of pricing strategies, financial models and commercial evaluations that support sustainable growth objectives

What You'll Bring

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • 5+ years in business development, commercial management, tender management or strategic growth roles
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, developing and securing complex commercial opportunities
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, business case development and investment evaluation
  • Experience developing customer value propositions and solution-based selling approaches
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and translate data-driven insights into actionable plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing and presenting business cases, commercial recommendations and strategic insights to senior stakeholders
