JOB DESCRIPTION Opportunity Overview: As Greystar’s Australian residential portfolio grows, so does the need for sharp, capable people to help run it. Based in Sydney, you’ll own the full accounting lifecycle - month-end close, tax and compliance, investor reporting, AP, cash management, and debt, across our BTR and PBSA assets, while collaborating closely with APAC finance and operations teams across markets. A genuinely varied role with real ownership. Key Accountabilities Own month-end close for Australian BTR and PBSA assets, including reconciliations, journals, and reporting Manage BAS, GST, tax returns, and compliance with external advisors Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual property and investor reports Oversee accounts payable and vendor payment processes Support cash management, capital calls, distributions, and cashflow forecasting Assist with debt drawdowns, repayments, and lender covenant reporting Collaborate with APAC finance and operations teams on cross-market requirements About You: You’re a CA/CPA-qualified accountant with hands-on experience in residential property accounting, ideally across BTR and/or PBSA assets, and the confidence to own your numbers end-to-end. You're comfortable working across asset types, compliance requirements, and time zones, and you bring the organisation and initiative to keep things moving in a growing, fast-paced portfolio. In addition, you bring: CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated accounting experience gained within multinational or global environment Residential property accounting essential, BTR and/or PBSA experience highly regarded Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management systems highly regarded Strong knowledge of AASB, IFRS, and Australian GST/tax compliance Comfortable working across APAC teams and time zones Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines Greystar is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
