About the Role
Lead the development management of a major CBD redevelopment across planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery and project completion. This fixed-term opportunity is aligned to a multi-year redevelopment programme, providing exposure to the full development lifecycle.
Work at the intersection of development, design, heritage, sustainability, governance and major construction delivery in a highly visible leadership role. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will provide strategic leadership and client-side development management across a complex, multi-stage project within the Bank's Property functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development management of a major CBD redevelopment across planning, design, approvals, procurement, delivery and project completion
- Drive development strategy and oversee the transition between current and future project stages
- Manage design development, governance approvals, assurance processes and key project gateways
- Lead consultant and contractor performance, including commercial management, procurement and stakeholder coordination
- Oversee project budgets, cost planning, contingency management, risk mitigation and value optimisation initiatives
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, government authorities, regulators and external partners
- Champion safety, sustainability, heritage considerations and governance requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare executive-level reports, business cases and decision papers to support senior leadership and governance forums
About You
- 10–15+ years' experience delivering major property developments, capital works projects or large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, workplace or institutional developments
- Demonstrated success with proven end-to-end delivery of at least one large, complex project, operating at Senior Development Manager, Development Director, Project Director or equivalent leadership level
- Strong technical skills and experience managing complex projects across design, approvals, procurement, commercial management and construction delivery
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives, consultants, contractors and external authorities
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in budgeting, cost control, risk management, procurement and value management
- Experience working within complex governance, regulated, public sector, operationally sensitive and/or heritage environments will be highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in property, engineering, architecture, construction/building management, or a related discipline
- Postgraduate and/or relevant professional qualifications will be highly regarded
