About the role
The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to deliver the day-to-day operational services at NGV International and the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia.
Flexible availability is required as this role is full time and requires the incumbent to work weekends, public holidays and on-call nights on a regular basis (rostered in advance). As a result, the salary for this role includes penalty payments and allowances.
Responsibilities
As part of the facilities coordination team, you will support the Facilities and Safety Manager in delivering high quality facilities operations services, including building compliance, maintenance, incident response and programming support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating building compliance activities including safety checks and risk assessments and performing the role of Chief / Deputy Chief Emergency Warden
- Undertaking First Aid Officer responsibilities and overseeing building occupancy levels
- Coordinating and delivering facilities operations services and projects, in response to planned maintenance schedules and Service Desk requests, including the associated security, cleaning and facilities support arrangements
- Undertaking asset condition inspections and audits and contributing to asset management planning
- Assisting in the preparation of and response to Incident Reports, ensuring that records are maintained, and information is shared and escalated as required
- Performing the role of Senior Facilities Coordinator at the weekend and public holidays, when rostered, including supervising the security, cleaning and facilities support contractors on site, being responsible for building safety and emergency management, liaising with Customer Service staff and managing the escalation of issues as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in the delivery of facilities management services coupled with relevant qualifications and/or certifications
- Physical fitness, as the position may involve lifting
- Chief Warden (Emergency Controller) certification, or willingness to obtain it
- Minimum Level 2 Advanced First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it
- Customer focus and commitment to delivering high quality outcomes
- Ability to cooperate and work well with others in the pursuit of team goals
- Experience with facilities and asset management systems (advantageous)
