The Opportunity

The commercial team is expanding to go after the ASX market and the IR firms sitting on a book of exactly those clients. This role owns that territory.

Key Benefits

  • $100K base + $200K OTE—uncapped commission
  • Once you close a client, they stay in your book. Expansion revenue is earnable on top of new business—this isn't a hand-off model

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new business with ASX-listed companies—calls, outbound sequences, meetings, follow-ups
  • Maintain a phone-first attitude. Trigger-based leads come in daily and the ability to hit the phones early and set your week up with meetings is how you win
  • Build referral relationships with IR and PR firms to unlock multi-client deals from a single relationship
  • Pitch and close annual subscription packages across article and video products
  • Manage and expand your client portfolio post-close—upsell into additional products and the StockWire X platform
  • Attend industry events and in-person meetings across WA
  • Feed deal insights back to the team and help shape go-to-market as they scale

Requirements

  • Track record in B2B sales—you can prospect, pitch, and close without someone building your pipeline for you
  • Perth-based and comfortable owning a territory
  • Wired for commission. The OTE here is real and accessible—but only if you care about it
  • Entrepreneurial enough to thrive without a playbook handed to you—high autonomy is a feature, not a gap
  • Don't need to have sold media before. We are looking for a hunter, someone eager to speak to leads everyday and build genuine pipeline

Bonus qualifications:

  • Experience in IR, financial services, fintech, or financial media
  • Genuine interest in the stock markets

Professional Development

The successful candidate will receive 12 months of ongoing training and support, including advanced training programs and access to communities for professional growth—all provided by Pointer in addition to internal programs.
